Local Councils Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organised a 3^rd Awareness Seminar on 17^th of December at Press Club, District Abbottabad to engage former councilors for substantial changes in the current ignorant culture towards Local Governance.

Mr Himayat Ullah Khan Mayar, President, LCA KP hosted the session and explained the functions of councils and councilors in the current Local Government Act. Furthermore, he showered some shine on the historical perspective of LG in Pakistan.
He specifically appealed for a strong LG system and Urgent LG elections in the region.

Members of the Executive Committee along with Board of Governors, Minorities and other Stake Holders of Local Government participated in this seminar. Participants Were educated about KPK Amended Act 2019 Provisions that can provide benefit LG system and some That need to be amended.

The seminar proposed the resolution to upgrade the scope and quality of local government legislation, in this case, LCA KP will contact relevant regional and provincial departments.
