To further the coordination and cooperation between LCAs KP and Punjab, an inter-provincial workshop was conducted on Nov 20 at Lahore. An MoU signed by the presidents of LCAs KP and Punjab for exchanging experiences and best practices. The chief guest was the Minister for Population and Welfare, Punjab and a copy of the recommendations on LG was also presented to the honourable minister. The minister vowed to forward the recommendations to relevant authorities in the provincial assembly. He also volunteered for becoming the focal point for LCAP to promote its agenda in the provincial assembly.
The delegates from both the LCAs visited the governor house and handed over the recommendations to Governor, Punjab. The governor pledged to take it forward to relevant authorities and demonstrated a keen interest in knowing more about LCAs. He requested that he would be happy if invited to LCAs events in future to get more understanding of the associations and include the association in legislative processes.
The delegates from KP were also given an exposure visit to Badshahi Mosque and Shahi Fort with the support of Information and Culture Department of the Punjab.
